Outers Rifle Cleaning Kit P-477

Luncheon

Photo 1: Last Tuesday, I started to get ahead for the holiday issue of having enough to receive all who come. With the last scraps of pie dough, I even made ... Do you recognize the timeless classic and very farts sister?

Photo 2: This is the backdrop for our luncheons ... At first, it is still dark, we got up very early, but when one is made to stretch coffee, the sun rises on our conversations already very busy.

Luncheon

Crocodile Dundee and I have been best friends before being lovers, and as one does not preclude the other, we the chance to eat breakfast every morning with our best (e) friend (s). But seriously, we are lucky. We persist, we chatter, we laugh, we remade the world, said the news on the radio when it indulges in short, it's never quiet here in the morning.

Even sometimes, sometimes the conversation is not over and he has to leave work, then we give ourselves a kiss on the edge of the door and say that it will end with dinner. This morning we discussed generosity, baskets, Christmas Food Drive media, solidarity and good intentions. All because he was lying on the table at lunch an information sheet with suggestions Ressourcerie The purchase of non-perishable food for Christmas baskets.

Crocodile Dundee remembered with nostalgia the days when it was "the grocery store to another family" and we had so happy to do so. That was before solidarity is institutionalized.

In time, we were newly married, no children, yet a family. We had a friend who was a priest, who knew the families of his parish, those who needed a basket of Christmas but never dared to ask for their own reasons and I respect that. Our friend used to pander to this family never knowing who we were and that we do not know who they were. Our annual tradition continued long after the birth of our daughter.

We took an appointment in advance with our friend in early December. On the appointed day and hour, it would bring groceries to the presbytery in question, three or four boxes filled with all kinds of food. For its part, our friend would bring these boxes in the minutes that followed where it was expected and probably appreciated. This scheme allowed us to buy everything and not just non-perishables. We had a great time every year, Isabelle still remembers it too, do the double grocery store, that is to say we took two big trucks, and when you bought something for we were bought exactly the same for the other family, knowing they will enjoy the same fantasies that other families that we did not know.

A turkey for us? A turkey for them! A large jar of Nutella for Crocodile Dundee? A large jar of Nutella for the other family. Grains teddy with us? Of such homes. Three liters of milk? Okay, three liters of milk in the other carriage as well. Chocolates? Yes, chocolates, it's Christmas, you want pretzels, peanut butter, frozen raspberries, ready soups, crackers, shrimp rings, peas, bags oranges, apples, yogurt, a Yule log and all the fantasies we wanted, for us and for them. It was Christmas in our hearts long before Christmas, just because we felt to share the little we had, but with all our heart.

This morning at breakfast, we regret this epoch and this tradition selfish (not too much, it started from a good will) that had been established and maintained to give something to a Another family we did not know. This store-there, that night was a magical moment, just thinking that what chose for us was the immediate impact we hoped happy for other ... so close to us.

Our priest friend died there over 10 years. We never knew if he gave this store the same family every year or if the family ranged from one year to another, everything we say and everything we needed know was that it made people happy.

Baskets Christmas gifts have become very supervised and shared by recognized bodies, processed food banks operate at full capacity, throughout the year. That's fine. The needs are great. The Food Drive media gives a boost to replenish the reserves in warehouses and well garnish Christmas baskets to be awarded to individuals and families who request it. It's discreet and anonymous. Now, our way of sharing with others, it is to give money to street corners when it's time, sometimes adding bags of nonperishable food. It is this list of suggestions for purchase which arrived in our publication bags this week and that was this morning on the white sheet that lay between our two coffees ...

It was sad, Crocodile Dundee and me, when you read this list of suggestions that was too ordinary, colorless, tasteless, without surprise, without insanity, without imagination. I let you judge, I'll transcribe in full:

Peanut Butter, Cheese Whiz, mayonnaise, ketchup, canned vegetables, mushrooms, corn, beans, mixed vegetables, stewed tomatoes, cereals: Frosted Flakes, Mixed Cereal (small boxes), fruit salad, pasta: elbow macaroni, spaghetti, biscuits, tuna, canned meat: Stew of meat, flaked, baked beans, canned soup, juice, Kraft dinner, tomato juice. And that's all. I swear, that's all. Can not find it sad, you guys?

Guignolée The media, it will be Thursday, December 2 throughout Quebec. We will do our part, certainly, by preparing our donations will be collected on street corners by volunteers who will freeze all day to take everything you may wish to provide for a clear conscience. We will again this year with bank notes, because we can not bring himself to give boxes Kraft dinner, cans of tomato juice, from Cheese Whiz and cereals-even-not-to-bear.

I have too much respect for poverty, for those not as fortunate as us ... At Christmas, are we could not give them anything to eat but misery? I understand these things with my head but not with my heart. I just can not imagine a Christmas Eve in a family, we will open an aluminum can of baked beans or they will heat the contents of a large can of stew. And children in there? Toddlers? Well, do not even think of it, I cried. Especially there children will still be bored with other families who have too. Crocodile Dundee thinks like me, we will try together to find something more and better to do. Otherwise, we will have failed. We said we would talk again at dinner ...
