Why Did My Sucker Fish Die
Evolution and the contradictions of PS
Since the collapse of negotiations between Francophone and Flemish parties, leading personalities of the PS proclaim loudly that he must prepare for the end the Belgium [Onkelinx] it should not be afraid of split [Jean-Claude Marcourt] that the Walloons are able to live in a state without speaking Flanders, they must take their fate into their hands [Rudy Demotte], or that the Wallonia could rely on France [Philippe Moureaux].
Is this a new concerted strategy, as suggested in David Coppi Le Soir today, or reaction hot, as some political analysts believe, a fed up with the attitude of the N-VA and the CD & V and stubbornness Bart De Wever on certain points as the refinancing of Brussels? At least it is only a bluff?
Another factor seems had played in this turnaround of the PS: changing public opinion in Wallonia and therefore the voters. Reading the comments posted on the forums of major newspapers and TV stations-is indeed significant. More and more readers or listeners Walloons, who also "fed up" of the Flemish demands, consider that it is better part of Flanders and Belgium end.
We know that every morning, the show " is you who say "Viva-City, at the RTBf, spends some hours in a given subject on which listeners can give their opinion. Yesterday morning, the question was: "Are you ready end of Belgium. To the astonishment of the presenter, almost all responses were YES, sometimes accompanied by a virulent commentary, inspired by feelings of pride and dignity at last found.
But back to the changing PS, for whatever reasons - changes which we welcome, of course! - seems a contradiction between this new position and the arguments previously developed to resist certain Flemish demands on social security, the financial accountability of the federal entities, the revision of the law on financing, etc.. How can we justify even
the oppopsition these claims, having said, as still repeated today the Minister PS Marcourt that " Wallonia can get out and support themselves without the Flanders , alone or with Brussels ? If so, this means in effect that the continuation of a federal social security and interregional solidarity, that the PS would maintain at all costs, are more valid arguments! How then put them back on the table if negotiations resume?
hope - without really believing - that the point of no return has been reached!
